Hello! I’m Daphne, a beautiful 9-year-old, 72 lb. GPRA alumna looking for my retirement home. I adore my human family, they adore me, my canine sister is a different story. Things have gotten contentious (I have quite the vocabulary!) between us recently and my mom wants me safe. Every once in a while, I react to other dogs coming toward me when I’m on my leash. Still, I grew up in a three-dog family, so this new behavior is a little surprising. Maybe I’m just ready to be an only fur child and live my senior years as the center of attention? I’m great with kids, love big people as well, can be home alone for up to 10 hours, enjoy walks, and try to play with cats. Thanks to the raw diet I’ve enjoyed the last five years, I’m svelte and healthy. Oh, and I’d like to keep my name, if that’s alright, I’m pretty attached to it plus it works, I come when called. Are you ready to call GPRA about me? Or maybe just email info@greatpyratlanta.com or click “Apply to Adopt” below.

Donate to Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta

Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
