Hi My name is Dot. I am a beautiful 3 year old Pyr mix and close to 106 lbs. I am the newest girl to GPRA and I found my way here because my mommy is really sick. The hardest decision she had to make was allowing me to live my life to the fullest and to find a new family that could give me this same kind of love. I am in a new foster home where I have fur siblings and I am adjusting well. I am sad that I will not see my old family again but knowing a new family is in my future brightens my hope. Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
