Behind every beautiful thing, there’s some kind of pain.” I’m Dylan, a 3-year-old, 95 lb. boy, not to be confused with the Bob Dylan who wrote these oh-so-true words. If you’ve seen my Instagram pictures @greatpyratlanta, you can tell I’ve had more than my share of pain, but thanks to GPRA, I’m on my way to beautiful. My foster family and canine sibling are patiently following the vet’s directions, healing my mange, skin issues, ear infections, and soul. Everyone who’s met me says I’m a giant marshmallow. I guess they’re talking about the white Pyr fur growing in? Or maybe because I love food and can’t wait to be closer to my ideal weight? I’m so tall, the vet says I can carry about 140 lbs so yeah, I get to eat a lot!! Every day is a little better; every day my foster family and I learn a little more about my true personality. So, if you like the idea of having this Great Pyrenees shining bright in your family photos later this year–you should know I plan on being remarkably handsome–please email info@greatpyratlanta.com or click “Apply to Adopt” below.

Donate to Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta

Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
