Dear Great Pyrenees Friends,

2016 has been a remarkable year for GPRA. We surpassed 1,000 rescues since our inception over 6 years ago and experienced a number of dramatic rescues that evolved into spectacular successes. We shared our stories about Athena, Thistle, Nellie and most recently Rocky. Rocky is with a wonderful family and as you can see in the pictures is doing great. From an inability to stand, to now walking in his back yard, Rocky is an inspiration to all. Thanks to the many who offered to nurture Rocky following his surgery and thanks again to the many that participated in his transfer from Tennessee.

I’d like to recognize our passionate and tireless board of directors who treat GPRA as full time jobs and the many GPRA team members, fosters, walkers and adopters that have been so loyal since the very beginning. Thanks also to our financial supporters who allow us to provide the very best medical care through VCA and Northlake Veterinary Surgery.

As we look forward to 2017, we plan to introduce our new website very soon. Look for the Schultz Fund on the new website as we will be providing scholarships for our Gentle Giants that become trained therapy dogs. Also save Sunday April 23rd for our biggest ever Gentle Giants in the Park!!!

Happy holidays and have a great New Year!!!

Thank you,

John Heldrich
